Do kids actually like the TMX Elmo Doll after all?

I just read a report on Consumer Reports about the TMX Elmo Doll. They did a test on nine children ranging from 1 to 11 years old to see what they think of the TMX Elmo doll and if it's worth the money people are paying for it today.

Turns out, the youngest children didn't even like TMX Elmo! A 20 month old, 14 month old, and a 1 year old were either scared and cried or lost interest in him very quickly.

The 5 and 7 year old were interested and played with him for a short period of time but then never looked at him again.

The 8 and 11 year olds took a little more interest in the TMX Elmo. They had other versions of the Elmo Doll and were interested in the differences with the new Elmo Doll. Their father told consumer reports that his daughters will most likely lose interest in the Elmo Doll after a while.

In this Consumer Reports Test, they found TMX Elmo was more liked by children 8 years and older and also adults. It actually proves true with my 2 1/2 year old. Turns out she has totally forgotten about the TMX Elmo Doll that I was lucky enough to buy for her. Good thing I didnt pay over $100 for it!

Who Stole TMX ELMO DOLLS?

This is getting ridiculous folks! Word just out from WalMart was that a shipment of about 100 TMX Elmo Dolls was stolen on Oct. 31 while on their way to a Wal-Mart store in Bentonville, Arkansas. A spokeswoman from Wal Mart is offering a small reward for the dolls. She is offering a trip to a comedy club in New York for any information on the missing TMX Elmo Dolls. She also goes on to say that WalMart is committed to having Elmo in stock for everyone for the holiday seasons. So far I don't think they are doing a great job, my local WalMart is constantly out of them. They are still selling on eBay for way over retail value and I bet that's where these stolen TMX Elmo Dolls will end up. Its a sad day when people have to steal toys to make money.

TMX Elmo OCT 1 is here !

Well today was the day that the TMX Elmo Doll was going to be available at my local Wal Mart. Since I already had one I thought I'd take a peek to see how long they remained in stock...Of course as you would have guessed the TMX Elmo was OUT OF STOCK before 10am!! The stock girl said they just flew off the shelves and that they "should" be getting more soon...

A quick look at wal mart.com shows that they are also OUT OF STOCK. Even the Barbie with TMX Elmo was out of stock. I think that must be wrong, because its cheaper priced than the TMX Elmo doll alone. I think its a smaller version of Elmo and not the real TMX one.

A quick scan of toys r us.com shows that they don't even have TMX Elmo listed for sale! They do have the fun Elmo Giggle and Shake Chair, that maybe a fun substitute if you can't find the TMX.

If anyone has any great ideas on where to find or buy the TMX Elmo Doll let us know! This looks like the first big hit of the Christmas toy season.

Where to find TMX Elmo

I just got the new Walmart Advertisement in the mail, it's confirmed that TMX Elmo will be in the store tomorrow, Sunday October 1st! He's on the front page of the ad and Walmart is calling it a "Grand Opening Event". The cost for the TMX Elmo is $34.88 each.....I just checked on Ebay.com and he's still selling for between $80.00 and $100.00! I also checked out Wal mart.com and they're still sold out. I called Walmart and they said only one TMX Elmo is allowed per person. They said to get there really early because there is sure to be a line out the door before they open. They open at 7AM so that means I have to wake up at the crack of dawn...I'd better get to bed now! See you in line at Walmart!

TMX Elmo Doll Available Oct 1

Hey everyone, I just called my local Walmart again today and they are still confirming the the TMX Elmo Doll will be available Oct 1st. I hope so, because I want to get as many Elmo Dolls as possible give to my neices and nephews this holiday season!

TMX Elmo Doll Is Great

Hi there, we just got our TMX Elmo Doll and from what I hear we were lucky to find the Elmo Doll. I guess they were sold out everywhere including Walmart, Target, Kmart, Toys-R-Us just to name a few. The TMX Elm Doll we found was at KayBee Toys. We were lucky and paid regular price for this Elmo Doll. My daughter just loves it! She is in a daze when it starts laughing on its own on the ground.

We were in the mall on Wednesday and we happened to walk by KayBee Toys and saw this TMX Elmo Doll laughing it up on the floor. So we went in to see what it was all about and after seeing him I decided he would be perfect for my daughter and my nephew. I grabbed the Elmo Doll and took it to the counter to pay. When the man rung it up he told me they only allow one sale per customer, but since there was no one else in the store he offered me to sell me as many as I wanted. I had no idea how popular this doll was becoming, I should have realized when I couldn't find it anywhere. So I only ended up buying 2 TMX Elmo Dolls.

So I went home and told my husband about and he said I was crazy and should have bought as many as possible and then sell them on EBAY and donate the proceeds to a charity for children! He was right, a quick check of EBay shows the TMX Elmo Doll going for well over $100 in many auctions!!
